Sparrow named to Order of Canada (Saskatoon StarPhoenix)

Retired senator Herb Sparrow was named to the Order of Canada Tuesday. He was born in the Vanscoy area and became a North Battleford alderman and businessman before joining the Senate at the age of 38 in 1968. He retired from the Senate at age 75 in 2005.
